About

As a graduate of  Duquesne University, Alison started her career in 2008 gaining experience in the inpatient rehabilitation setting, where she treated patients post joint replacement, spinal cord injury, cardiac rehabilitation, stroke rehabilitation as well as traumatic brain injury and many other neurological conditions.

Alison joined Van Derhoof PT in 2015 treating clients in DC and MD.  Alison focuses on building connection with her clients where she and the client can collaborate on the preferred treatment plan with a focus on balance, strength and mobility.

Alison pursues continuing education topics that include balance training, dementia care and core activation to name a few.

Alison lives in Northeast DC with her family. Alison enjoys gardening, being outside and spending time with her family.
